Mr Keith Jones qualified in 1992 from St Bartholomew’s Medical College London and subsequently became Fellow of Royal College of Surgeons in 1996. He undertook higher surgical training in the South West Thames region in April 1997. Additionally, he researched into the role IL-6 in Abdominal Aneurysms. The research was published in Circulation and he was awarded a Masters in Surgery.
Completed his Training at St Thomas’s and St George’s Hospitals and then he became Consultant Vascular Surgeon at King’s College Hospital in 2005 setting up their Endovascular AAA practice and then in 2008 moved to be Consultant Vascular Surgeon at St George’s Vascular Institute and Honorary Consultant at Kingston Hospital to lead the practice in lower limb arterial disease with a particular interest in diabetic foot patients.
In March 2016 Keith moved his NHS practice to Frimley Health NHS Foundation trust undertaking his clinics at Wexham Park, Heatherwood, King Edward VII and St Mark’s Maidenhead Hospitals. e is at present the Frimley Health Clinical Lead for Vascular Surgery.
Keith has a strong interest in surgical training and was from 2013-19 London’s Vascular Training Programme Director. He was also Deputy Chair of the National Vascular Specialty Advisory Committee.
From November 2016- 2022, Keith was a Council member of the Vascular Society of GB and Ireland and from 2019-2022 was Chair of the Education and Training Committee.
Since October 2020 Keith has been the Surgical Director of the National Surgical training portfolio, InterCollegiate Surgical Curriculum Programme (ISCP).
