Mr Azal Jalgaonkar is Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in Adult Hip and Knee Surgery and Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery. Mr Jalgaonkar has a wide orthopaedic practice and has a special interest in minimally invasive hip replacement surgery through both, direct anterior MIS and posterior MIS approach and hip arthroscopy (keyhole Hip surgery) for young adult hip Impingement. He also specialises in knee replacement and arthroscopic knee surgery.

Mr Jalgaonkar has received prizes at orthopaedic meetings and has published his work extensively in highly reputed peer-reviewed Orthopaedic Journals. He is dedicated to ongoing research and is currently involved in several projects including national trials like the ‘BOSS’ study. He has presented his work at numerous National and International conferences. Mr Jalgaonkar is a keen trainer and regularly sits on the KSS ARCP panel to assess the annual clinical progress of higher surgical orthopaedic trainees and is a faculty member at FRCS (Orth) courses.
