Miss Sarah Burton is a Consultant General Surgeon specialising in gastroenterology. She completed her medical degree at the prestigious Medical School of the University of Nottingham in 1995. She then completed her basic surgery training at Frimley Park Hospital and completed specialist training whilst working in the South West Thames Region. She became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1998.

She is highly experienced and renowned for her developed laparoscopic skills. Her expertise is a result of hard work and commitment in the field as she carried out 2 years of clinical research at the Royal Marsden Hospital, where she obtained her MS degree and further 18 months of training at the Royal Surrey and Frimley Park Hospital, focusing on laparoscopy and colorectal surgery.

She has extensive experience diagnosing, assessing and treating anorectal conditions including: anal fissures, anal fistulae, haemorrhoids, rectal prolapse and rectoceles. She also regularly performs both open and laparoscopic surgeries, such as hernia surgery and cholecystectomies.
