Gaurang Ubhayakar

Dr Gaurang Ubhayakar is a highly experienced Consultant Interventional and Diagnostic Radiologist with over 21 years of experience in the NHS Trust. His expertise lies in interventional radiology, a specialised area of radiology that involves using imaging techniques like X-rays, ultrasound and CT scanning to guide and treat a variety of conditions using minimally invasive techniques. 

He is skilled in a wide range of vascular and non-vascular interventions, such as peripheral vascular angioplasty and stenting, thrombolysis, vascular embolisation, venous access, venous stenting, varicocele embolisation, percutaneous cholangiography, biliary stenting, nephrostomy and antegrade ureteric stenting, percutaneous nephrolithotomy, and sialography. He also has special interests in upper GI, uro-radiology, head and neck imaging, and is the Lead Radiologist for upper GI and urology cancer. 

Dr Ubhayakar is also the Radiology Clinical Governance Lead and is involved in teaching core training for FY1 & 2 and radiology SPRs. He is affiliated with several esteemed medical societies and is highly regarded in his field.
